There is no blur background option in my pc though virtual background works and i have updated zoom on the latest version I apologize for the inconvenience you are experiencing. If you are on the latest version of Zoom, it is possible that the windows device you are on does not meet the requirements:. If your device does meet the requirements, please verify that you are logged into your Zoom desktop client with your Zoom account.

I hope this helps! Hello ajaypande. I have a 2-yr-old Macbook Air intel based and another much older PC laptop. The blur option is available in the latter and I can’t get it on the Macbook no matter what I do. I can understand what I’m missing and it’s a little annoying. I have the same Macbook Air Intel Core i5 2 cores I have downloaded new app and new apple software and still no luck. Any suggestions Zoom? Is this not supported? Zoom client version 5.

Ah I’m not alone! Same, other virtual background all work but I have no “blur” option! Everything is updated! I also have a Mac Air with 1. Same problem with a macbook pro, everything is updated macOs Monterey I’m facing the same.

I have a Dell – Windows 11Pro. Same problem with a Macbook Air, everything is updated macOs Monterey I am also looking for this feature in my PC because I feel much awkward to show the background of my room so just looking to hide it a little more please help me to do it.

Hi ajaypande jdott16 is correct you must have those device specifications. I think this meets the specifications, but still no blur option on my Mac Air. This is not user friendly at all.

I don’t have blur and have the latest Zoom and latest MAC software update. I even restarted the program and nothing. There is no blur. I cannot believe this fiasco! So many having the same issue as me and not a peep out of Zoom who has been touting their newest feature which doesn’t work! I screwed around for half an hour on my Windows 10 bit machine, and all of a sudden, a pop-up, I installed it, and there it was! But I have no idea what I did to invoke it.

Thereafter, I have been trying to find this patch, to no avail.. Time to move on to some other software. I as well am not able to see a blur option on my virtual backgrounds menu on my laptop. I have updated Zoom to version 5. Would greatly appreciate any help which could be provided. Same problem I have downloaded what seems to be the latest version, as no download came with the Pro upgrade.

Called support but apparently Pro doesn’t include technical support. Extremely frustrated You do not need to have a pro account to use “blur background”. I see that no comment here has been accepted as a solution for this, so I thought I would weigh in! If you cannot turn off the green screen option for virtual background, then your computer will not be compatible with the blur background feature.

It is however an excellent starting point, and if your hardware is lower than the minimums listed here you will not be able to use “blur background” or “virtual background without a green screen”. Thanks Micah! I do see now the blur option requires a processor of i5 or above and mine is just i3. I don’t know why I didn’t notice that requirement earlier.

Anyway, at least I have the explanation now. The processor being an i5 is only half the story, just as important is how old the processor is, how many cores the processor has, and what GPU is paired with it. If the blur background feature is missing from Zoom, the most likely reason for it aside from needing a software update is that your computer isn’t new enough or powerful enough for it.

I currently have the same issue. No option to blur my background. And Yes I meet all the requirements to blur my background. I do not even have an option key to blur it, so this shows me it is an issue on Zoom’s end. Please fix and let me know.

I accidentally left my computer open on the table and my cat may have walked across the keyboard and pressed random keys so now the display is zoomed so far in that I cannot see anything in the start menu besides the word ‘Start’ and the tops of the app groups. When I click on any of the apps, the only thing shown is a blue screen. I attempted to check the screen resolution but when I get into the Control Panel through the search tool, the only thing shown is another empty blue screen.

I figured that it was a zoomed in version of the desktop so, using my sister’s computer as a reference we have the exact same kindI used keyboard shortcuts to try to change the screen resolution that way. I tried this seven times just to make sure I wasn’t messing up anywhere and restarting every time, just in case but the display hasn’t changed at all.

I did get pop-ups saying that my screen resolution was too low but when I clicked the link to change the screen resolution, nothing happened. I tried typing in ‘text’ into the search bar but when I selected “Make text larger how to zoom my pc screen – none: smaller,” nothing happened. I apologize if this was quite lengthy but I wanted to be thorough because I read a lot of questions to try to fix my problem but none of them worked.

Think like a blind person and turn on Narrator. But I’m wondering if you are just seeing Fullscreen Magnifier. Fullscreen Magnifier has tracking options which may help but you have to find the control which is usually hidden to change them.
